Characteristics of bronchoalveolar epithelial cells in patients with SARS-COV-2 infection. 11 clusters of epithelial cells were found in the bronchoalveolar lavage fluid after SARS-COV-2 infection. ACE2 was relatively more expressed in epithelial cell clusters 1, 3, and 7. There were two differentiation directions in Clusters 4 and 5: one was cluster 2, and the others were clusters 1, 3, and 6. The signaling pathways in Clusters 1, 3, 6, and 7 focused on inflammatory activation and immune response, and the Cluster 2 was related to apoptosis. The ligand-receptor expression pattern showed a special inter-cell regulatory relationship between epithelial cell and immune cells. Created with BioRender.com
