Confocal micrographs and corresponding MFI values showing that EF24 inhibits the LPS-induced TLR4-expression in DCs. The DCs were stimulated for either (a) 4 h or (b) 24 h, followed by 1 h or 4 h of EF24 treatment, respectively. The cells were stained with Hoechst dye (nucleus, blue) and rhodamine-phalloidin (actin, red) and anti-mouse TLR4 antibody (green). The regions with co-localization of red and green fluorescence appear yellow. The intensity of green fluorescence representing TLR4 (mean ± sem) was quantified in at least three different fields and analyzed by one way analysis of variance and applying the Bonferroni post-test. # p value < 0.05 vs. control and * p value < 0.05 vs. LPS treatment
