Anti-inflammatory effects of SLPI in adipocytes. Adipocytes were pretreated with 10 ng/ml recombinant SLPI for 2 hours and then treated with LPS (100 ng/ml) for 24 hours. Pretreatment with SLPI attenuates induction of IL6 mRNA (Figure 4A) and protein (Figure 4B). Bars represent means and ± SEM of 4 different replicates.
