Ex vivo measurement of the effect of SB203580 on LPS-induced luciferase expression. A. Selected organs were harvested from SB203580 pre-treated mice and LPS treated control mice at 4 hours after the LPS injection. * indicates a significant difference between vehicle (DMSO) + LPS and SB203580 + LPS (p = 0.05; sign test). B. Northern blot analysis of IκBα mRNA in the liver tissue. I κB α-luc transgenic mice were sacrificed at 3 hours after LPS injection. Liver tissue was harvested and processed for RNA isolation. A total of 2 μg of RNA was analyzed by Northern blot. Equal loading was demonstrated by 28S rRNA.
