Effects of intraperitoneal injection of curdlan against neutrophil accumulation and MPO activity. Curdlan or saline was injected intraperitoneally, and immediately and 3 hr after the injection, geranium oil or DMSO was applied cutaneously. After 6 hr, leukocytes were collected for Diff-Quick staining and MPO assay. (a) The number of leukocytes and cell differentials in peritoneal exudates. (b) The MPO values in peritoneal exudates.
