Total cell numbers (B) and numbers of eosinophils (C), macrophages (D), lymphocytes (E), and neutrophils (F) in the BAL fluid, and mast cells (G) in toluidine blue-stained lung tissue of WT and TRPM2^-/- mice challenged with saline or OVA. Except for mast cells, cell numbers were significantly increased by OVA challenge in both WT and TRPM2^-/- mice, but no significant difference was seen between WT and TRPM2^-/- mice.
