Time course of leukocyte influx into the blood. Mice (n = 10 per group) were submitted to intestinal ischemia for 45 min, followed by reperfusion at 2 and 24 h. At different time points, blood aliquots were collected for polymorphonuclear (PMN) (A), peripheral blood monocyte (PBMN) (B) and lymphocyte (C) quantification. BAL was also performed to measure PMN (D), monocyte/macrophage (MC) (E) and lymphocytes number (F).
