feG and intestinal allergic responses: Oral challenge with ovalbumin (OA) in sensitized rats results in disrupted intrinsic rhythmicity of migrating myoelectric complexes (MMC) in the small intestine. feG injected intravenously at 100 μg/kg up to 8 hours before challenge significantly reduced disruption in MMCs, suggesting a long biological half life (mean ± sem, n = 4 to 8).
