From: 5-Methoxyflavone alleviates LPS-mediated lung injury by promoting Nrf2-mediated the suppression of NOX4/TLR4 axis in bronchial epithelial cellsĀ and M1 polarization in macrophages

Fig. 4

Effects of 5-methoxyflavone on LPS-mediated expression of pro-inflammatory cytokines in BEAS-2B cells. (A) ELISA assay was performed to determine the expression levels of IL-6, TNF-Ī±, IL-8 and MCP-1 in the culture supernatant of LPS-stimulated BEAS-2B cells with or without 5-methoxyflavone treatment. (B) ELISA assay was performed to determine the expression levels of IL-6, TNF-Ī± and MCP-1 in the culture supernatant of LPS-stimulated BEAS-2B cells treated with 5-methoxyflavone alone or in combination with Nrf2 inhibitor (brusatol). ###P < 0.001 versus the control group; *P < 0.05, **P < 0.01, ***P < 0.001 versus the LPS group; Ī“P < 0.05, Ī“Ī“P < 0.01 versus the 5-methoxyflavone treatment alone
