TLR8 gene expression in the adipose tissue of non-diabetic/diabetic individuals correlates with monocyte/macrophage markers. The adipose tissue gene expression of TLR8 and monocyte/macrophage markers (CD68, CD11c, CD86, and CD163) in 49 non-diabetic (ND) and 45 type-2 diabetic (T2D) individuals was determined by using quantitative real-time RT-PCR as described in Methods.
