Fold-changes of chondrogenic markers in patient derived sMPCs. Expression levels of Aggrecan (Acan) (a), Collagen 2a (Col2a) (b), and Sox9 (c) were examined with or without cytokine stimulation and/or macrophage depletion (clodronate). All genes were normalized to the housekeeping gene 18 s and the expression levels of each gene is shown relative to untreated (control) sMPCs following 21-day pellet culture chondrogenesis.
