Effect of Ara 3000 beta® on IL-1 induced MMP release. Human articular chondrocytes were cultured for 6–7 days. At 80% confluency, cells were preincubated with Ara 3000 beta® (dilution 1:250 or 1:1000). The day after, medium was changed and cells were cotreated with IL-1 (IL1) or vehicle (C), and Ara 3000 beta® for 24 h. At the end of the incubation, release of MMPs was evaluated by ELISA.
