SLPI stabilizes IKB α expression level. Adipocytes were pretreated with 10 or 100 ng/ml recombinant SLPI for 2 hours and then treated with LPS (100 ng/ml) for 24 hours. Cell lysates were analyzed for the expression of phospho-IKB α and IKB α. Pretreatment with SLPI prevents the reduction of IKB α by LPS treatment (Figures 5A and B.)
