  1. There were no differences between the DD patients and the obese controls as regards age (p = 0.37), weight (0.52) or BMI (p = 0.44). There was a difference between the DD patients and the normal weight controls as regards weight (p = 0.01) and BMI (p = 0.004), but not age (p = 0.50). Similarly, there was a difference between the obese controls and the normal weight controls as regards weight (p = 0.001) and BMI (p = 0.042), but not age (p = 0.37). The differences were analysed using Mann-Whitney test.
