  1. C57BL/6 or T bet-/- mice (n = 5/group) were exposed to S. rectivirgula (150 μg) three times a week for three or six weeks.
  2. a BAL was performed and the recovered cells were counted using trypan blue dye exclusion.
  3. b Cells isolated from the BAL fluid were incubated with antibodies to various cell surface markers and analyzed by flow cytometry to determine the cellular composition of the BALF. CD4+ T cells were identified as βTcR+/CD45+/CD4+; CD8+ T cells - βTcR+/CD45+/CD8+; PMNs - CD45+/CD11b+/Gr1+; NK cells - CD45+/NK1.1+
